Each shape can have one label, which will display above the shape on the map.
To label a shape:

Double click on the shape. The Shape Name window opens.

Enter a name in the Add or Edit Shape Name field.

Select the Save button.
The shape’s label now appears above it on the map.

If you need to change the label, repeat these same steps.
